In Moscow, seven participants in the action against the isolation of the Runet were fined 10 thousand

The Meshchansky District Court in Moscow fined seven participants in the action against the autonomous Internet 10 thousand rubles under the article on violating the rules of the action (Part 5, Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code), which took place on March 10 on Academician Sakharov Avenue.

Activists of the “Libertarian Party” Yegor Karasev, Litvin and Yegor Agafonov were detained before the start of the action. Dmitry Zakhvatov, a lawyer from the Libertarian Party, reported their fines to OVD-Info.

The police detained Alexander Shestun, Valenina Chupina, Alexander Kirebko and Denis A. after the end of the stated time of the event - after 16:00. During the hearing, Kirebko explained to the judge that due to the crowd of people at the exit, he did not have time to leave the avenue.

Valentina Chupina and Denis A. were defended in court by OVD-Info lawyer Ekaterina Selezneva. According to her, both are going to appeal the fine.

The hearing on the administrative case of Denis A. took place on March 26, on the cases of the others - on March 27.

• On March 10, protests against the isolation of the RuNet were held in several cities across the country. In Moscow, according to OVD-Info, about 30 people were detained .
• The detainees spoke about violations and violence by the police that day.
