The Nevsky District Court of St. Petersburg overturned the sentence of nationalist Dmitry Bobrov, known by the nickname Schultz, in connection with the partial decriminalization of Article 282 of the Criminal Code. About this writes "Mediazona" with reference to the head of the press service of the courts of St. Petersburg Daria Lebedeva.
In September 2017, Bobrov was sentenced to two years in a strict regime colony on charges of inciting hatred or enmity (Part 1, Article 282 of the Criminal Code). Prior to this, the nationalist was under house arrest. He did not appear for the announcement of the verdict, law enforcement officers searched for him for more than a year and detained him only in January 2019.
The reason for initiating the case was two posts on the VKontakte social network. According to the investigation, they humiliated human dignity by dividing people into "higher" and "lower" races. Bobrov pleaded not guilty.
In 2005, he was sentenced to six years in prison on charges of organizing an extremist community. In 2009, he was released and was no longer seen in violent crimes.
