“MBH Media”: In Ingushetia, police officers who refused to disperse protesters were fired

In Ingushetia, the PPS battalion was disbanded, which, during a rally in Magas on March 26, sided with the protesters. MBKh Media writes about this with reference to the lawyer Kaloy Akhilgov, the former press secretary of the head of the republic, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov.

Akhilgov told the publication that 19 employees of a separate battalion along the administrative borders of the Republic of Ingushetia were fired.

“Everything happened because of the story, when they did not comply with the order to disperse the protesters. There were no casualties among the protesters thanks to this regiment, which prevented a large number of Russian guardsmen from entering the territory where the protesters were located,” Yevkurov’s former press secretary told MBKh Media.

On March 26, in Magas, local residents held a concerted rally against the redistribution of borders with Chechnya, its participants demanded the resignation of the head of the republic, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov. After the official end of the action, as the "Caucasian Knot" reported , about two thousand protesters remained on the square all night. On the morning of March 27, the security forces began to disperse the protesters, clashes broke out .

The protesters left the square after the authorities promised to agree on a new action in five days. After that, local residents gathered at the entrance to Nazran, blocking the federal highway "Caucasus".
