A picketer was detained on Red Square. He defends his daughter, convicted of drug charges

In Moscow, on Red Square, the police detained Aleksey Novikov during his solo picket with a poster “I have no rights. I won't live." He himself informed OVD-Info about this.

The man says that he managed to stand with the poster for less than a minute. Then he was told to go to the department. They were taken to the Kitai-Gorod police station.

Novikov is a defender in the criminal case of his daughter, who was sentenced to 10 years under the article on the sale of drugs on a large scale (part 4 of article 228.1 of the Criminal Code). The court rejected his complaint, so Novikov came to Moscow and appealed to the Supreme Court. Where the man came from, he did not specify.

14:27 A protocol was drawn up against Novikov on violation of the rules of the action (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). He was released from the department.

The man said that he had come to Moscow from Astrakhan to appeal against his daughter's case. He says that he is on a hunger strike for the fifth day.
