Chairman of the Board of the Krasnoyarsk Trust for Engineering and Construction Surveys (JSC KrasnoyarskTISIS), former deputy head of Rosprirodnadzor and ex-prefect of the Northern Administrative District of Moscow Oleg Mitvol expects that KrasnoyarskTISIS will receive an order to develop a new project for the first metro line in Krasnoyarsk, Interfax reports. .

On Saturday, the first round of negotiations took place at the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum . During a meeting with the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Alexander Uss, Mitvol recalled that KrasnoyarskTISIS carried out work on the design of the Krasnoyarsk metro in 1983–1989. “We are ready to update the project and fulfill the task of launching the metro in 2023,” he said. Mitvol also proposed involving the Chinese company Poly Group in the construction of the metro. According to him, the group has extensive experience in construction in different countries and can work without attracting loans.

KrasnoyarskTISIS, together with Poly Group, for the project within two weeks will prepare a preliminary feasibility study , Mitvol promised. During a meeting with the governor, Poly Group representative Li Wenbo said that the company is ready to cooperate and offer several options to reduce construction costs. In turn, Uss invited the meeting participants to work on a metro construction project with the regional government.

A few months ago, President Vladimir Putin instructed local authorities to work on the issue of completing the construction of the metro in Krasnoyarsk, the construction of which began back in the 1990s. Due to lack of money, the project was not implemented. In total, just over 3 km of tunnel was built. Now the city authorities plan to build nine metro stations by 2023.
