In Ingushetia, participants in protests against the revision of borders with Chechnya began to be fined and arrested

In Ingushetia, four local residents were arrested for 10 days for participating in protests on March 27, and two more were fined 20,000 rubles. This is stated in the message of the Magas District Court.

Didigov, Archakov, Goygov, Vyshegurov were sentenced to arrest, Balakhoev and Bokov were fined. All of them were found guilty of violating the procedure for organizing or holding an action, which caused interference with the infrastructure (part 6.1 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

Interfax, citing the court, reports five arrested and two fined activists. Three of them were brought to justice for organizing a rally in Nazran, during which a section of the Kavkaz federal highway was blocked.

• In September 2018, the authorities of Ingushetia and Chechnya signed an agreement on the border between the republics, after which protests began in Ingushetia. On December 6, the Russian Constitutional Court found the agreement legal.
• On March 26, in Magas, local residents held a concerted rally against the redistribution of borders with Chechnya, its participants demanded the resignation of the head of the republic, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov. After the official end of the action, as the "Caucasian Knot" reported , about two thousand protesters remained on the square all night. On the morning of March 27, the security forces began to disperse the protesters, clashes broke out .

The protesters left the square after the authorities promised to agree on a new action in five days. After that, local residents gathered at the entrance to Nazran, blocking the federal highway "Caucasus".
