Altai Governor: The Ethics Code against Vulgarity shares most teachers

The teachers have an unspoken Ethics Code, said the governor of the Altai Territory Viktor Tomenko, commenting on the scandal with the dismissal of school teacher Tatyana Kuvshinnikova. He is shared by the "majority", he believes.

“At first glance, everything is simple: someone there went too far. But upon closer examination, you understand that there is some unwritten ethical code in the pedagogical community that the majority share,-Tomenko quotes its press service. - But many do not share. This is vulgarity or what you can be proud of - a healthy lifestyle. The governor believes that the “at some point” the regional government was to intervene in the conflict around Kuvshinnikova. Since April 2, she took the position of specialist in the educational and methodological work of the library and information sector of the Altai Regional Institute for Advanced Education Employees. The institution is accountable to regional Ministry of Education.

Kuvshinnikova taught Russian and literature in the middle grades of school No. 13 of Barnaul. She posted on social networks a photograph in a swimsuit, which was taken on Lake Pionersky during the campaign of the Altai White Mip in support of the Winter Universiade in Krasnoyarsk. Athletes performed on behalf of the Barnaul City Hall.

“Some of the parents did not like [photography], someone sent a photo to the director,” said Kuvshinnikova.

Director Lyudmila Kuznetsova considered her photo a spot on the reputation of the school. Kuvshinnikova nevertheless quit under the pressure of the leadership.
