Kommersant: an explosion at the Mozhaisk Academy can be recognized as a terrorist attack. Versions, coincidences and video of the explosion moment

An explosion at the Military Academy (VKA) named after Mozhaisky in St. Petersburg could be a revenge on the personnel service, near the premises of which the explosive device worked. This version is given by Kommersant along with the details of what happened.

The explosion thundered on April 2 at 13:30, and a few minutes before it, several reports on the discovery of a suspicious package at the Academy were received in emergency services. According to the sources of the publication, the cadets found a package under the stairs leading to the personnel service, and called teachers with experience working with dangerous findings.

Among them was the former commander of the engineering battalion, Colonel Rifat Zakirov, awarded the Order of Courage for two Chechen campaigns, the medal "For Courage" and a sign of "Making". Presumably, he realized that the bomb could not be neutralized without a robot, and it was decided to cover it with body armor to extinguish the blow of an explosive wave.

According to preliminary data, the IEV worked from the timer, which used the cell phone. As a result, it knocked out a window and damaged the stairwell, TASS was informed in emergency services of the North-Western Federal District. "Fontanka" publishes a record sent by the reader from the DVR, captured by the moment of the explosion.

Four teachers were injured and contusion. Colonel Zakirov suffered most of all, he had an operation. Colonel Nikolai Kurdai, Major Andrey Tonyyshev and senior lieutenant Valentina Golovachev also suffered. The Ministry of Defense assured that the lives of all the wounded are out of danger.

Meanwhile, TASS, citing a source in the region’s emergency services, reported on Tuesday evening that one of the victims was on the artificial ventilation of the lungs. “He is in serious condition, he has a combined chest and head injury,” the agency’s interlocutor said, without specifying other details about the patient.

According to preliminary data from the FSB experts, the power of the IEV, allegedly filled with plastic, amounted to 500 g in TNT equivalent. On the fact of the explosion, a criminal case was instituted on the assassination of the murder of two or more persons, a perfect way (Article 30 and part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code). According to the sources of "Kommersant", in the future, what happened can be qualified as a terrorist attack.

"KP-Petersburg" transfers three main versions of the explosion at the Military Space Academy, noting that all information on the case is most classified as possible. Immediately after the incident, the main version was called careless handling of ammunition during their movement. However, this raises doubts: “After all, the military could not know that it is dangerous to store ammunition in the educational institution,” writes KP.

Not only the Communist Party, but also other media noted that the explosion at the Academy occurred during a hearing in the Moscow District Military Court of Case on the attack in the St. Petersburg metro on April 3, 2017 and on the eve of the second anniversary of the tragedy. Recall, as a result of the explosion of the explosion on the stage between the Sennaya Square and the Technological Institute metro station, 15 people were killed.

However, experts doubt that these events are connected: “not that scale”, besides, the academy has a strict access control, it is not easy for strangers to go there.

But there is one more coincidence: shortly after the 2017 terrorist attack on charges of assistance to terrorism, the 19-year-old cadet of the Mozhaisky AcademyVadim Osipov was arrested.

According to investigators, he prepared the armed capture of the barracks. He found a scheme for the capture of the building to place a military unit and arms room. In addition, it was reported that he downloaded the book “Russian cuisine. ABC of home terrorism” on his phone, included in the federal list of extremist materials.

Osipov himself, in a letter to the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Sergei Shoigu, explained that he drew a plan when he reflected on the methods of protecting the barracks after the attack in the St. Petersburg metro and the attack on the military unit in Chechnya.

Later, according to Osipov, an FSB officer met with him and asked him to tell what he would do on the site of the terrorists, promising anyone not to report this conversation. The cadet thought that he was recruited, and "tried to show himself in the form he needed."

At the trial, the FSB representative claimed that in addition to the seizure of the barracks of Osipov, he planned to arrange explosions in one of the squares of St. Petersburg with the help of a ice cream trolley .

The Moscow District Military Court sent a cadet for forced treatment to a psychiatric clinic: it was reported that he was diagnosed with acute polymorphic disorder with signs of schizophrenia. At the end of 2018, Osipov was discharged and arrested for a new trial.

The military observer KP Colonel Viktor Baranets, discussing the versions of the explosion at the Mozhaisk Academy, repeated the assumption of Kommersant that "one of the officers or cadets" wanted to take revenge on the personnel department. Commenting on the initial data that the Academy could explode an educational anti -tank mine, the Baranets noted that in this case, "there would be nothing left of the entrance."

The last version given by the publication is exotic: a demolition due to jealousy. However, according to the same ram, the military in such cases react differently, and "you need to be just crazy in order to take revenge on the comrades."
