Paper pension insurance certificates were canceled in Russia

In Russia, they will no longer issue and exchange the usual paper insurance certificates of compulsory pension insurance, which indicates the number of the individual personal account (SNILS).

The innovations are included in the recently adopted federal law on the expansion of the directions of using the individual accounting information base, the text of which is published on the official portal of legal information .

The press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of RIA Novosti reported that all changes are related to formal registration and will not affect pension provision. The usual certificates containing the necessary information can be obtained in the client service or the Office of the Pension Fund of Russia (PFR).

According to the Deputy Minister of Labor Andrei Pudov, who is quoted by the Rossiyskaya Gazeta , in the future, the FIU will receive information from the registry office in automatic and independently open personal accounts for citizens almost from the moment of birth.

In the case of changing passport data, information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be received in the Pension Fund branch in automatic mode. The entering work under an employment or civil law contract will be required to submit a document confirming the registration in the personified accounting system in paper or electronic form to the employer. The previous certificates of compulsory pension insurance retain their effect, they do not need to exchange them.

Pudov emphasized that the PFR citizens did not assign any numbers. It is only about the personal account number, as well as in bank branches. It will be possible to find out the number of individual personal account in your personal account on the public services portal or in the departments of the Pension Fund.
