The editorial office of Kommersant-Ural told details about the edition of the publication office on April 1. It turned out to be a former courier who a few years ago he stole the keys to the room, as he "suffers from kleptomania." This was announced by the detainee himself during the investigative actions in the criminal case of intentional damage to other people's property (Article 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The name of the defendant is not disclosed. Now an unemployed resident of Yekaterinburg several years ago carried out one -time courier instructions. He admitted that he decided to "attack" the editorial offices from "personal motives", but did not go into details and only emphasized that he was not aimed at preventing journalistic activities.
The man penetrated the office of Kommersant on Gorky Street at about five in the morning on April 1. He found a bottle of red wine in the editorial office, drank it, smoked it in the office of the editor -in -chief and wanted to leave by capturing a poster with a riot police and a half -naked girl from the exhibition "Fine Highways". However, then the suspect reasoned that this would be considered the theft.
Then he rummaged in the tables in search of money, but found only foreign coins that he did not take. Then the man moved to the office of the general director of the publication, drank collection cognac and decided to disassemble the computer for sale for spare parts. He was hit by electric shock, after which he began to cut the wires with scissors and destroy the system unit. As a result of its prey, two hard drives became. Subsequently, he threw them into the river, realizing that this was evidence.
To “disguise” the Yekaterinburger arranged a pogrom in the editorial office, “to think that ISIS* what was here.” In the end, he hoped to profit from something valuable in server, where there were many computers. But I found nothing and was forced to escape when I began to signal the overturned uninterrupted fence.
Recall that the pogromer also left a note on the table of the general director of Sergei Plahotin with the words: “You will die, sit” (on thieves' jargon - a novice, inexperienced small thief). At first, Kommersant was not excluded that the pogrom could be associated with the publication of the book "Caps Band. The meeting place" On the fight against the criminal world of Yekaterinburg in November 2018.
The suspect was detained on the same day, he wrote a confession. Later he was released on a subscription about the wizard without charges. The Investigative Committee was explained by the fact that "the crime is not serious." The damage from the actions of the pogrom was estimated at 70 thousand rubles.
