The Moscow traffic police called for motorcyclists to wait with the opening of the season

The metropolitan traffic inspectorate asked the motorcyclists to postpone the opening of the season, since the weather in Moscow is not yet very suitable for driving on a motorcycle - in the morning and evening hours the risk of ice formation is maintained in the city.

“Temperature fluctuations, as well as forgotten management skills, can provoke the entry into the road accident of such unprotected categories of road users, such as drivers of motorcycles, scooters and mopeds,” the department quoted RBC as saying.

The traffic police noted that this year eight traffic accidents have already occurred in the capital with the participation of motor transport drivers. As a result of accidents, 11 people were injured, including three minors.

The department also turned to the parents of minor owners of two -wheeled vehicles. They were reminded of the risks and responsibility for the health of children.

“Allowing their children to ride a scooter or moped, parents need to remember the age and physiological characteristics of children and adolescents, about the inability to fully evaluate the changing road environment on their part, and parents need to remember that they are responsible for the life and health of their children,” the report said.

The official opening of the motorcycle season in Moscow is scheduled for May 3. On this day, a parade of motorcyclists will be held in the capital. According to tradition, the motorcade will proceed from Academician Sakharov Academy of Academician in a garden ring. It is assumed that over six thousand motorcyclists will take part in the race. Because of this event, the traffic in the city will be limited, but the details of the ceiling in the traffic police will be reported later.

Last week, the traffic police called for drivers not to rush to the replacement of winter tires with summer, since the formation of ice is still possible on the roads of the city.

"With the onset of spring, many motorists are in a hurry to the tire points in order to replace the car tires. The State traffic inspectorate of Moscow draws attention to the fact that such a haste can lead to emergency situations," the department noted.
