Catalan Barcelona striker Lionel Messi scored another goal in the Spanish Championship and equaled the number of goals in the best European leagues with his main competitor, Juventus Turin forward Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 31-year-old Argentine scored a goal in the 30th round match of the Primera League with Villarreal (4:4), which became his 414th in the Spanish Championship.
34-year-old Ronaldo has now scored exactly the same number of goals in the top 5 leagues in Europe (England, Spain, Italy, Germany and France). He scored 311 goals in La Liga for Real Madrid, 84 in the Premier League for Manchester United and 19 in Serie A for Juventus.

Messi, unlike Ronaldo, never changed the team and all his achievements at the club level are connected with Barcelona.
