Zelensky invited Tymoshenko to moderate the debate with Poroshenko

The presidential candidate showman Vladimir Zelensky invited the leader of the Fatherland party Yulia Tymoshenko to become a moderator of the debate with his rival in the election operating head of state Peter Poroshenko. The video message of Zelensky is published on his Facebook page.

Earlier, Zurab Alasania is the head of the National Public Television and Radio Company of Ukraine, which should organize and broadcast the debate, noted that the discussion should be held in the studio with the moderator, which the television company selects. Alasania said that he would be journalist Pavel Kazarin.

At the same time, the television company said that they were technically capable of organizing a broadcast from the Olympic stadium, which on the eve of Zelensky proposed as a platform for the discussion, but the debate there contradicts the CEC rules, which establishes that candidates must discuss the premises of public television and radio.

Zelensky also stated that there would be no tests for alcohol and drugs in the first -aid post of the Olympic stadium before the debate. Poroshenko called for tests in the laboratory of the Zelensky stadium. However, representatives of the showman emphasized that for the delivery of tests they prefer the independent Eurolab laboratory and invited the president himself, as well as representatives of the press.

Ukrainian Pravda notes that the owner of the Eurolab previously openly spoke out in support of Zelensky.

The showman and producer Vladimir Zelensky in the first round of elections gained more than 30 percent of votes, Petro Poroshenko - about 16 percent. Yulia Tymoshenko took third place, gaining more than 13 percent. Zelensky and Poroshenko went on the second round. It will take place on April 21.

After the election, Tymoshenko accused the current president of falsification of voting and refused to support both Poroshenko and Zelensky.

On April 3, Zelensky made a video message, in which he called on Poroshenko to conduct debates at the stadium, putting forward a number of conditions, including the delivery of tests for alcohol and drugs. The president answered with a fundamental agreement. Both videos dispersed widely on the Internet, and the upcoming debate became one of the most discussed topics not only in Ukraine, but also in Russia.
