Earlier, Ekaterina Kuzemka, an adviser to the mayor of Yekaterinburg, wrote on Facebook that military equipment exhibited on Soviet Army Square without special “shoes” ruined the tiles.

According to Poplavsky, the military delivered all the equipment on Innovation Day only on wheeled trawls, and after that they showed the area to the officials of the Kirovsky district and did not receive any comments.

“I would like us to start implementing the law on fake news as soon as possible. So that finally, using this law, we can bring all provocateurs, all ill-wishers, all those who do not really love our Motherland, who are skeptical and unfriendly towards our army, to account for this misinformation, ”Poplavsky said.

On April 4, the head of Yekaterinburg, Alexander Vysokinsky, met with the military commandant of the city and obtained a confession that the military had violated the technology for unloading equipment. Lieutenant Colonel Mikhail Vill assured that those responsible for this had already been punished.

A bill to ban "fake news" went into effect at the end of March. If the dissemination of news carries a “threat of causing harm to the life or health of citizens, a violation of public order,” Roskomnadzor must demand that the publication “immediately” remove it, otherwise the material will be blocked. The bill also provides for fines of up to 500 thousand rubles.
