
The VISA International Payment System will establish a preferential interbank commission to receive cards in 1% for microbusiness, writes RBC with reference to two sources in the banking sector that received a system notification.
Now the average size of the commission is 1.6–1.8% with the total amount of the Commission for Ectaring 1.5–2.5%.
The benefit will begin to operate on July 9 of the current year for retail outlets with a turnover of up to 10 million rubles a year and by turnover of VISA cards not higher than three million rubles. Mini-stores and kiosks should also be new VISA customers (not to accept cards of this system within six months before the connection), comply with the norms of the Law on the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises in Russia.
Otkrytvy Bank, Raiffeisenbank, Promsvyazbank and Russian Standard Bank confirmed that they received notifications from VISA.
At the end of February, trade associations of retail companies (acort), Internet trade (Akit) and manufacturers of electric and computer equipment (RATEK) complained to the Federal Antimonopoly Service on VISA and MasterCard systems. The applicants were unhappy with the level of the interbank commission established by companies, which reached 70% of the trade assignment.
