A powerful sandstorm fell to the north-west of India (video)

On April 7, the settlements of the state of Rajasthan in the north-west of India were in the power of a sandstorm, accompanied by a strong wind and spilling rain. “Tsunami dust” covered the cities of Pilani, Sikar, Jhunjun, Bikaner, Jaipur and Chura.

The element caused damage to local farmers and buildings. Flights were detained. Information about the victims was not received, reports Hindustan Times .

The storm came to Delhi. In the metropolis, air quality worsened. In some areas there were strong rains, and the air temperature, reaching 36 ° C, sank several degrees. A warning about such weather conditions in the capital of the country was announced the next day, NDTV reports.

Note that sand storms in the spring and early summer in the northern part of India often end in disastrous consequences due to hurricane winds. So, about 200 people became victims of three such storms in May 2018, more than 100 inhabitants were injured.
