The Moscow court sentenced the ex-mayor of Vladivostok Igor Pushkarev to 15 years in the colony and a fine of 500 million rubles

In the capital of the Tverskaya, the District Court sentenced the former mayor of Vladivostok Igor Pushkarev , who was found guilty of corruption crimes. The ex-official was sentenced to 15 years in prison. He will also pay a fine of 500 million rubles, reports the Telegram channel "360TV" .

In addition, the court found two other defendants in the case: the ex-mayor’s brother Andrei Pushkarev was condemned conditionally by 8 years with the payment of a fine of 500 million rubles, entrepreneur Andrei Lushnikov received 10 years of a maximum security colony and fined 500 million rubles. This was reported by TASS.

The verdict was registered by Judge Dmitry Gordeev. The online broadcast of the meeting led the news agency VL.ru.

Igor Pushkarev was accused of receiving a bribe totaling 75 million rubles. According to investigators, from 2008 to 2015, he prevented private companies to participate in municipal competitions in the field of road construction, and then provided victory in the competition of the municipal unitary enterprise of the Vladivostok road with the assistance of its former director Andrei Lushnikov. With the municipal enterprise, Pushkarev concluded contracts in the amount of 1.2 billion rubles for the supply of materials produced by the East -Cocent group controlled by companies.

As a result, according to the investigation, close relatives of the mayor received dividends in the amount of 471.7 million rubles from the income of the Vostoksament group, and the “Vladivostok roads” were damaged by 143.6 million rubles, since the company purchased building materials at an high price.

In addition to Pushkarev, the accusations were brought by Andrei Lushnikov and his native brother of the arrested mayor - Andrei Pushkarev, who previously served as the general director of Vostoksament JSC.

Depending on the role and degree of participation, all three were accused of committing crimes under Part 6 of Art. 290 (receiving a bribe), part 3 of Art. 285 (abuse of authority), paragraphs "a" part 2, 3 tbsp. 204 (commercial bribery), part 5 of Art. 33, part 6 of Art. 290 (aiding in receiving a bribe), part 2 of Art. 201 (abuse of authority), part 3 of Art. 327 (use of a knowingly false document), part 5 of Art. 291 (giving bribes) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

Igor Pushkarev was arrested in June 2016. He did not admit his guilt and called the accusations absurd. “I not only did not take a penny from the city - my family donated almost one billion rubles to Vladivostok,” Pushkarev said on Facebook. He also assured that he would prove his innocence.

The former mayor led the city from May 23, 2008 to November 3, 2017, that is, almost 9.5 years. According to Pushkarev, in 2008, when he just interceded the mayor, Russian President Vladimir Putin called Vladivostok dirty and groomed, and eight years later at the VEF summit in September 2016, the head of state noted which Vladivostok became beautiful and attractive.

“My team and I, in turn, did everything so that Vladivostok was the“ pearl of the Far East ”, and in the end we succeeded, despite the fact that they are trying to judge me now,” Pushkarev complained. He also stated in an interview with Vladnews that the criminal case against him was registered, and the customer was the "former head of the region."

“I discredited the authorities in the person of the former governor of Miklushevsky,” Pushkarev added.

Member of the United Russia party Vladimir Vladimirovich Miklushevsky was the governor of the Primorsky Territory from 2012 to 2017. Currently, the rector of the Moscow Polytechnic University is held.
