In Arkhangelsk, participants in a protest against garbage were fined up to 200 thousand rubles

The Oktyabrsky District Court of Arkhangelsk fined the participants and leaders of the anti-garbage protest up to 200,000 rubles. This was reported to OVD-Info by lawyer Elena Dolganova.

On April 7, a rally and a procession were held in the city against the import of garbage from Moscow, as well as the construction of a landfill. The event could not be coordinated with the authorities. On April 8 and 9, an anti-garbage action took place on Lenin Square, which its participants themselves call open-ended.

We are publishing the court decisions regarding those detained on April 8 . The cases of activists detained the next day will be considered by the court on April 10.

Dmitry Sekushin (200 thousand rubles)

UPD May 28 The article is inaccurate. We previously reported that Sekushin was fined for the April 7 rally, but in fact it was a fine for the April 7 march. Two protocols were drawn up against the activist under part 8 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses separately for the march and rally that took place on April 7 in Arkhangelsk. According to the protocol, Sekushin was fined for the rally on May 28.

The largest fine in the amount of 200 thousand rubles was received by the leader of the Arkhangelsk anti-garbage protest Dmitry Sekushin. He attended the march on April 7 with a press card on his chest, but it was not mentioned at all in the court decision. The large amount of the fine is due to the fact that Sekushin was found to have repeatedly violated the rules for holding the event (part 8 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

Alexander Larionov (28 thousand 900 rubles)

Alexander Larionov was fined 28,900 rubles. He was found guilty under two parts of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses: part 6.1 (participation in an event that interfered with the movement of vehicles and pedestrians), part 5 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the rules of the event by a participant). In addition, Larionov was found guilty of disobedience to the police (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

Marina Petrova (26 thousand rubles)

Petrova was fined under the same articles of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses as Larionov. The total amount of her two fines amounted to 26 thousand rubles.

Dmitry Kuznetsov (34 thousand rubles)

Dmitry Kuznetsov was fined 17 thousand rubles, found guilty of participating in an event that interfered with the movement of vehicles and pedestrians (part 6.1 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The activist was detained on the highway on the way to St. Petersburg, Petrova and Sekushin were also detained.

Later, the activist was fined for the same amount under Part 5 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

Elena Kalinina (32 thousand rubles)

Protest leader Elena Kalinina was fined 16 thousand rubles. The court noted her “active role” in the procession and also found her guilty under Part 6.1 of Art. 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. Later, she, like Kuznetsov, was fined for the same amount under Part 5 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

It also became known that on April 8, a protocol was drawn up against a woman under part 1 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the rules for holding an event by the organizer) because of calls to come to the rally on the VKontakte social network.

Maxim Pushkin (15 thousand rubles)

Maxim Pushkin was fined 15 thousand rubles, having been found guilty of participating in an event that interfered with the movement of vehicles and pedestrians (part 6.1 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

Evgeny Popov (30 thousand rubles)

Evgeny Popov (Bogucharsky) received a fine of 15,000 rubles. Later, he was again fined the same amount under Part 5 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

Popov is the editor-in-chief of the local newspaper ND29, but he did not have a press card with him during the event.

UPD 05/08/2019 The Arkhangelsk Regional Court upheld the fines for participation in the action on April 7 to Elena Kalinina, Dmitry Kuznetsov, Maxim Pushkin and Evgeny Bogucharsky (Popov). About this with reference to the defender Alexei Kuroptev reports "7 × 7".

On May 7, the regional court upheld the fine for journalist Dmitry Sekushin.
