
The priorities of the Federal Penitentiary Service should include the humanization of the conditions for keeping people in places of imprisonment. Such a statement, as RIA Novosti reports, at a meeting with senior officers and prosecutors on the occasion of their appointment to higher positions and assignments to them by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
“I note the priorities of the FSIN. This is the introduction of advanced security and supervision systems, as well as modern, humane standards for keeping people in places of imprisonment. I draw attention to the importance of the qualitative execution of alternative punishments that are not related to the isolation of a person from society, ”the president said.
Earlier, in his report to the Federation Council on the work of the security forces, Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika criticized the activities of investigators of the FSIN employees. The seagull said that the inspections revealed violations in the activities of the FSIN institutions in each second region of Russia, cases of illegal use of physical force and special equipment have been registered.
