President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko called the ban on Rosselkhoznadzor on the import of Belarusian apples and pears with sanctions, saying that in Russia "insolent to such an extent that they begin to twist their hands." The head of the republic added that if necessary, the country will close the oil pipelines for repairs, despite the transit through them of Russian oil.

Sharp statements to the main trading partner were made during the president’s meeting with the economic bloc of his government. “They themselves are under sanctions and condemn this, and I absolutely support them here. But at the same time, they are fighting such weapons against their closest allies, ”the Belarusian leader emphasized . He said that every day he receives information about the unfriendly actions of Russia to the neighbors. “They close the market for us,” Lukashenko summed up.

Recall that at the end of March, the Rosselkhoznadzor banned the import of Turkish pears through Belarus due to doubts about the legality of such supplies and distrust of the information specified in the Belarusian re-export certificates. On April 10, the department expanded the ban on all apples and pears that the neighbors supply. In the message on the service website, this decision is explained by suspicion that, under the guise of Belarusian products, products from sanctions countries are imported into Russia. Over the first week of April, 36 cars of such a load without documents were detained at the border. The restriction is introduced from April 12 until the situation is settled.

Developing his thought, Lukashenko recalled that about a year and a half ago, when the country had to repair the oil pipeline and oil product pipeline, which was going through Belarus, Minsk did not, as he understood that this would cause damage to Russia. But the need has been preserved so far, and turning to the deputy prime minister Igor Lyashenko, the Belarusian leader called for using it as a countermer: “If you need to put the oil pipelines and oil pipelines that go through Belarus, put and repair. Because the good that we do for the Russian Federation, it turns into us constantly evil. There they are already insolent to such an extent that they begin to twist our hands. ” He criticized the government for not seeing problems in the Russian direction.

Earlier, the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Government and the head of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov said that Moscow will provide Minsk with a state loan worth up to $ 600 million. This was preceded by the request of the Minister of Finance of Belarus Maxim Ermolovich, while Lukashenko stated that he was not going to “beg” with a loan from the Russian Federation.

Before the New Year, the government of both countries created working groups to resolve issues on the path of integration. In February, Lukashenko even allowed the unification of Belarus with Russia if their peoples are ready for this, and in March he advocated the adoption of a common currency in a union state.

On April 2, Vladimir Putin congratulated the President of the Republic of Belarus on the day of the unity of the peoples of Russia and Belarus, noting that since the signing of an agreement on the creation of a union state, countries have significantly advanced along the path of mutually beneficial cooperation.
