The court returned to the prosecutor’s office the case of the former chief accountant of the theater “Seventh Studio” Nina Maslyaeva. At a meeting on Thursday, the judge pointed out errors in the indictment and added that Maslyaeva’s right to defense was violated. The former chief accountant was left under house arrest until July 19.
The former accountant of the Seventh Studio is accused of especially large -scale fraud. The Maslyaeva case was allocated into separate proceedings, since earlier it - unlike other accused - pleaded guilty and made a deal with the investigation. Earlier, Maslyaeva testified against other accused, including director Kirill Serebrennikov.
The judge raised the question of returning the case to the prosecutor immediately after Maslyaeva said during a judicial interrogation that she did not know who abducted the money.
In the case, the former artistic director of the Seventh Studio Kirill Serebrennikov, its former general producer Alexei Malobrodsky, director Yuri Itin and former employee of the Ministry of Culture Sofya Apfelbaum are also held in the case. They are accused of embezzlement of 133 million rubles allocated for the theater project "Platform". All the accused, except Maslyaeva, deny their guilt and consider the criminal case fabricated.
Serebrennikov was released from house arrest on a subscription about the wizard on April 8, Itin and Apfelbaum were released with him. Earlier, Alexei Malobrodsky was released with the same conditions for arrest.
