Not freedom of speech, but conspiracy

The US Ministry of Justice found the opportunity to bring Assange to criminal liability

Assange’s lawyers have already stated that in the United States his life will be in danger, and the lawsuit about his extradition could last a long time, but it will almost certainly end with the fact that he will be in the federal court of the Eastern District of Virginia, where he was instituted to be a criminal case on charges of criminal conspiracy.

Theoretically, his extradition in the United States could have prevented Sweden, which had his own claims against Assange, but there was closed to the prosecution of sexual harassment and rape in 2017.

The case on Assange was opened in the United States last year, but classified, and it became known only by chance. Now it is finally devoted to publicity.

The administration of Barack Obama, who attracted more people for the disclosure of GOSTain than all her predecessors combined, did not dare to attract Assange, foreseeing the arguments of his lawyers, that he is a journalist or publisher who enjoyed the protection of the first amendment to the US Constitution, which guarantees freedom of speech.

The Trump Monian behaved differently. He opened the case on Assange, although he provided the indicated defense arguments and accused him not of disclosing secret information, but of complicity of its embezzlement.

A criminal conspiracy in American legislation is the consent to commit some crime plus some action that is coming to him. For example, a phone call. Assange’s accomplice was named the former serviceman Chelsea Manning (a man named Bradley Manning), who served in the reconnaissance unit of the Hammer advanced operating base in Iraq and had a secret admission.

Between January and May 2010, Manning, according to the seven -page indictment, secretly downloaded four almost full databases of various US government agencies. They contained approximately 90 thousand reports on hostilities from Afghanistan and 400 thousand from Iraq, the characteristics of 800 prisoners and 250 thousand of the State Department of the State Department.

She transported them to the Vikiliks representatives who published most of these documents on their sites in 2010-2011.

The American military says that their assistants from among local residents were identified in the reports of hostilities. At the process of manning in 2013, prosecutors, however, could not name a single American agent who would lose her life as a result of the fact that she lit him.

According to prosecutors, on March 8, 2010, Assange agreed to help manning to decipher the password in the computers of the US Department of Defense connected to the Secret Internet ProTocol Network, a government communication system for transferring secret documents.

Manning sent part of the password to Assange, extracted by her from the Pentagon computer, to which she officially had no access. She entered it with the help of the Linux operating system recorded on her CD.

According to the indictment, Assange and his team tried to decipher the full password, but did not achieve success. In order to be found guilty of a criminal conspiracy, the success of an act of an act to you is not required. It is good for the attempt itself.

The accusation has a correspondence (regarding the decoding of the password), which manning and Assange on March 8, 2010 and which was posted on the Internet in the past.

If the Assange is ultimately sent to the United States, the prosecutor’s office may bring him additional charges and enrage his intercessors even more.

Manning was sentenced in 2013 to 35 years in prison for violating the “spying law” and a number of other crimes. Barack Obama finally sharply reduced her term to the already served seven years.

On March 8 of this year, she was sent to prison for refusing to testify in the Assange case in a large jury in Alexandria (Virginia). Manning will remain in conclusion until he changes his mind, or until the end of the work of a large jury.

The Assange is threatened for up to five years.
