One of the protest leaders in Ingushetia was charged with attacking police officers

On April 11, the Investigative Committee indicted Bagaudin Khautiev, one of the leaders of the protest in Ingushetia. This was reported by Mediazona with reference to the international human rights group Agora.

Khautiev was accused of using violence dangerous to life and health against government officials (part 2 of article 318 of the Criminal Code).

According to the Investigative Committee, the man threw a brick at the employees of the National Guard, who on March 27 dispersed an indefinite rally against changing the border with Chechnya. According to the decree, as a result of the "forced confrontation" 10 law enforcement officers received injuries of varying severity.

Khautiev himself is in the Nalchik pre-trial detention center, where he was taken by helicopter after the first search. He and seven other people were taken into custody on suspicion of violence against the police (part 2 of article 318 of the Criminal Code) and inciting to riots (part 3 of article 212 of the Criminal Code).
