In Sevastopol, searches were carried out in the house of Imam Rustem Abilyaev. This is stated on the Facebook page of the Crimean Solidarity public association.

Later, a number of state media published information about searches and subsequent detention of a man who is charged with public calls for extremist activities (Part 1 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The FSB calls him "the leader of a group of radical Islamists." According to investigators, he conducted sermons in which he called for violent actions against those who did not share his religion. The detainee's name has not been released.
