Three journalists and a blogger talked about the failure of Samsung with a flexible screen. They tested smartphones for no more than two days

At least three journalists and one blogger from the United States have broken screens in Samsung Galaxy Fold smartphones, which the manufacturer provided them for testing. All reviewers used smartphones for no more than two days.

CNBC journalist Steve Kovacs has lost half of his screen. Bloomberg contributor Mark Gurman and YouTube blogger Marquez Brownlee's screen is completely out of order. The Verge journalist Dieter Bohn reported that a bulge appeared at the place of the fold of the screen of his smartphone; stripes also went along it.

The cause of the massive failures is unknown. Gurman and Brownlee attributed the failure to the fact that they tore off a protective film from the screen that could not be removed. However, Kovacs and Bon did not remove the film. Samsung has not yet commented on the situation.

Quartz contributor Mike Murphy has reported that his Samsung Galaxy Fold continues to work. At the same time, in the picture posted by the journalist, a bulge is noticeable at the bend of the smartphone screen, as in Bon’s device.

• Samsung Corporation introduced its first flexible screen smartphone in February. The Galaxy Fold will go on sale worldwide on April 26. The smartphone will cost from 1980 dollars. The device will be available for pre-order in Russia in the second quarter of 2019.
