In the Novosibirsk Region, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case after checking messages about the persecution of a child with HIV. The case is investigated by violation of the inviolability of private life.

According to the investigation, in July 2018, an unidentified person in the city of Iskitima, the Novosibirsk Region, distributed information about the private life of a seven-year-old boy, namely, the presence of HIV infection, among his acquaintances of his foster parents. This information under the law is his personal secret.

The family of Iskitim adopted an orphan boy. At home, he began to hurt seriously, after the examination it turned out that the child had an HIV infection on which he was never examined or treated. Although in the orphanage they were obliged to do this. The diagnosis of the child became known to other residents of the city. After that, the family encountered discrimination, the boy refused to take in children's circles, for massage and school. Now relatives intend to sell the house and move to Novosibirsk, where no one knows about the diagnosis of the child.

The children's ombudsman of the region Nadezhda Boltenko visited the city of Iskitim and met with her child's adopted mother. She also demanded that local officials and prosecutors check the validity of the refusal to accept the child to school.
