The Krasnoyarsk Territory and Novosibirsk Region (+17.5% in each region) and the Irkutsk Region (+10%) became the leaders in terms of the growth in the number of minority shareholders. The total number of minority shareholders of the bank reached 135.5 thousand, an increase of 12%.
The factors influencing the growth in the number of shareholders were the successful implementation of the VTB Group strategy, the attractive price of securities and the bank's dividend policy, as well as a unique privileges program that provides benefits and additional opportunities for banking and financial services.
In addition, an increase in information activity and the development of communication channels contribute to the increase in the number of VTB shareholders. According to VTB, shareholders receive about 27% of the information about the bank's work at traditional meetings with representatives of the VTB Group services, 25% - by contacting the call center, as well as the centers for work with shareholders, 18% - using e-mail, a mobile application "VTB Shareholder", social networks, as well as written appeals.
Head of VTB Shareholder Relations Vladimir Khotkin noted: “The growth in the number of shareholders, including in the regions, confirms the relevance and demand for VTB Bank's work with private investors. We plan to strengthen interaction with shareholders, develop existing and introduce new communication channels, improve shareholder benefits programs, and also strengthen technological leadership in working with minority shareholders.”
The shareholder relations service plans to carry out a number of events in the Siberian Federal District aimed at improving the financial literacy of minority shareholders and university students.
