The police suspect three St. Petersburg residents of financing “New Greatness” and “Network”

Georgy Markov, a photographer from St. Petersburg , told MBKh Media that the police suspect him and two other people of financing the New Greatness and Set organizations.

Markov says that he left a SIM card issued for himself to a friend whom he had not seen for two and a half years. Around 8 am on April 19, a police officer called a friend at this phone number and arranged a meeting. Then, the photographer says, the employee showed the young man a folder with Markov's photo and documents and stated that money had been transferred from the number to the New Greatness and Network organizations.

A friend of Georgy Markov was told that translations were also done by New Duplicity activist Anastasia Osipova and Pavel Chuprunov, a former member of Open Russia.

“While they are talking politely and accurately, the friend didn’t know anything, so they didn’t put pressure on him, they just asked him to convey that they were looking for these people,” Markov said.
