"It was poisoning." Dmitry Bykov named the reason for his hospitalization

Writer and journalist Dmitry Bykov said on Echo of Moscow that the reason for his hospitalization was poisoning.

“I know for sure that the cause of my poisoning - and it was poisoning - has not been established,” Bykov said.

The journalist noted that it was because of the poisoning that he became ill on the plane flying to Ufa, after which he was taken to the hospital, where he was put into a medically induced coma.

Bykov added that he does not have diabetes, hypertension, “there were no excesses of alcohol or drugs.”

Update. Dmitry Bykov clarified to TASS that it could be “either food poisoning or an infection.” “I just can’t see any villainous plans here,” he said.

• Dmitry Bykov was hospitalized on April 16 after he flew to Ufa to give a lecture. A few days later he was transported to Moscow. On April 21, he regained consciousness. The media suggested that Bykov was hospitalized due to an exacerbation of diabetes.
