Seven alleged members of the Islamic State were detained in the Moscow region

Seven suspects of participation in the activities of the Islamic State group were detained in the Moscow region, according to the website of the Investigative Committee. FSB officers also took part in the arrest.

The detainees are charged with Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code (participation in the activities of an organization recognized as terrorist in Russia).

According to investigators, the suspects created a secret cell of the Islamic State since November 2016, tried to recruit new supporters and called for attacks on security forces.
