The Golovinsky Court of Moscow extended until June 7 the arrest of Moscow State University graduate student Azat Miftakhov, accused of hooliganism. This was reported by MBKh Media.
Lawyer Svetlana Sidorkina asked to change the preventive measure to house arrest in the Moscow State University dormitory. The prosecutor's office said that Miftakhov could hide and interact with accomplices.
- Azat Miftakhov is a graduate student at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics at Moscow State University, an anarchist who was arrested on charges of hooliganism (Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code). The case was opened due to the events on the night of January 31, 2018, when unknown persons broke a window in the United Russia office in Khovrino and threw a smoke bomb inside.
- Miftakhov was detained on February 1, and later he told his lawyer about torture with a screwdriver. For the next 11 days, his detention was extended under various pretexts.
