In Makhachkala, on May 2, police officers visited relatives of Khadzhimurat Abakarov, a participant in the May Day Monstration and a member of the Yabloko party, and repeatedly called his mother. This was reported to OVD-Info by Abakarov himself.
“Two employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs came to my apartment at the place of residence, asked the neighbors who I was, why they came - it is not clear. A relative was told that I was a member of some undesirable organizations, and they needed to contact me. They demanded that he tell me where I live,” says the activist.
As a result, Abakarov's relative gave the activist's place of study and his mother's phone number. After that, the police began to call the woman, who is currently out of town. She was also required to tell the place of her son's actual residence, they asked him to meet with them, "otherwise it will be worse."
The police left the phone of a certain interrogating officer to the mother, to which Abakarov decided to call and find out what was happening. The person on the other end of the line did not explain anything and promised to call back. At the same time, until yesterday, mothers continued to receive calls from the police.
The activist attributes such attention of law enforcement officers to the fact that he wrote a statement against the police officers who detained him. Abakarov suggests that he may be required to withdraw his application.
Abakarov and seven other people, including minors, were detained in the center of Makhachkala before the start of the "Monstration", which was not approved. Posters were taken away from some participants of the action and torn up. “Two employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs approached me, did not introduce themselves and, without explaining my rights and obligations, threw me into a Bobik. There they used obscene language, rammed their feet a couple of times, thereby inflicting an abrasion on the left forearm, ”the young man recalls the circumstances of the detention.
After the detainees were kept for about six hours at the police station, they were taken to the Sovetsky District Court. Five people, including Abakarov, were found guilty of violating the rules of the event by the participants, which caused interference with the infrastructure (part 6.1 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). They were fined ten thousand rubles each. The organizer of the action, Raisat Sirazhudinova, was fined 15,000 rubles.
Initially, it was reported that the protesters were fined under the 5th part of Article 20.2, and the organizer - under the 2nd part.
