A court in Arkhangelsk fined an opponent of a landfill 25 thousand rubles

The Oktyabrsky District Court of Arkhangelsk fined Aleksey Ganichev, a participant in protests against the construction of a landfill at Shies station, 25,000 rubles. This was reported on the website 29.ru.

The man was found guilty of violating the rules of the event by a participant (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses for a rally; a fine of 11 thousand rubles) and participation in an action that interfered with the movement of vehicles and pedestrians (part 6.1 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses for a procession; a fine - 14 thousand rubles).

The publication clarifies that the authorities have already fined 34 people for holding a rally and march on April 7 or participating in them. The total amount of fines amounted to 960,400 rubles.

Lawyer Oksana Vladyka, who defended Ganichev in court, told the site that the photo from the rally was compared with the one from 2003 when drafting the protocol. “Identification is carried out in the office by an employee who is not an expert, no examination was carried out, technical means were not used. Everything is purely subjective. The employee does not personally know Alexei, that is, she defines it as: here, I see - this is Alexei Ganichev. As I understand it, all the employees there are winners of the Battle of Psychics,” complains Vladyka.

Ganichev was detained on May 2, when he came to a meeting on the criminal case of Andrei Borovikov, another participant in anti-garbage actions. There were police officers in the court, who began to distribute subpoenas for interrogation in the case of Borovikov to everyone who came to support him. Almost all the listeners left the courthouse, but Ganichev remained, and then he was detained.

He spent the next two days in Police Station No. 4, for a long time other activists could not contact him.

• On April 7, an uncoordinated procession and rally took place in Arkhangelsk against the import of Moscow garbage, a landfill for which is planned to be built at Shies station. On that day, the police did not detain anyone, but after the event, pressure on environmental activists intensified.
