FSB in Novosibirsk is trying to disrupt the Civil Forum "Free People"

In Novosibirsk, the FSB officers turned off the electricity on the site where the Civil Forum "Free People" takes place. The organizers of the event had previously been refused to provide other premises several times. About this OTD-Info told the press secretary of Open Russia Natalya Gryaznevich.

Before the electricity turned off in the room, the FSB officers came, who had a conversation with the director of the technopark, where the event takes place. According to activists, the security forces demanded that he expel the forum participants, turning off water and light.

Initially, the event was supposed to take place in the Loft Park "subway". Activists report that on the eve they were told that the forum would not pass there, as the owners called the power structures and urgently demanded that they refuse to provide the site. The organizers tried to find a new premises all evening, but the owners also answered that they were recommended not to hold the forum.

• The Civil Forum “Free People” is taking place for the third time, the organizers set their task to combine a generation of civil leaders, create a space for the exchange of experience, and discuss urgent problems of civil society and the media. The forum is going to take part in the ex-mayor of Yekaterinburg, Yevgeny Roizman, Deputy editor-in-chief of the Radio Echo of Moscow in St. Petersburg Valery Nechey, municipal deputy Konstantin Yankauskas and others.
