
The Chinese company Huawei can put equipment for storing data for the execution of the Yarovaya Law as part of the decision of the MTS and MGTS operators, Kommersant writes with reference to three sources on the telecommunications market.
According to Kommersant, Huawei is considered as a supplier of equipment for storage systems as part of the solution developed by the Russian company Norsi-Trans. According to the sources of the newspaper, this company has already conducted tests and found that only Huawei products could use.
Norsi-Trans Director Sergei Ovchinnikov confirmed that the company tested the equipment of Huawei and Western Digital, but refused to comment on the supplier.
MTS plans to purchase equipment for 50 billion rubles. According to the publication, half of this amount may go to the purchase of equipment for data storage.
Huawei and MTS did not comment on this information.
