
The All -Russian Athletics Federation (VFLA) disqualified for 12 years a domestic runner for medium distances Ksenia Savina for numerous violations of anti -doping rules.
According to the VFLA press service , in accordance with the decision of the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) tribunal, the athlete and husband of the athlete Alexei Savin, who received the discolification for four years, was also found guilty of violating the anti-doping rules.
The disqualification period of the 30-year-old Savina is counted from May 6, 2019 without taking into account temporary removal, as she continued to violate the rules.
In September 2018, Savina was temporarily suspended from the competition on suspicion of using prohibited drugs. Erythropoetin was discovered in her sample. During the detachment, the athlete performed at international competitions under the name of Ukrainian Galina Syshko . In April, Savina and her husband were charged with falsification of doping tests.
The final list of Ksenia's provinces includes “the presence of prohibited substance in the sample”, “use or attempt to use a prohibited substance or method”, “falsification or attempts to falsify in any component of the doping control process,” as well as “complicity”.
Ksenia Savina is the bronze medalist of the Russian Championship - 2017 in athletics in 800 m running. Earlier, the Crimean athlete played for the Ukrainian team, but in 2014 she changed sports citizenship to the Russian one .
