The magistrate of court district No. 5 of the Leninsky district of the city of Vladimir arrested Boris Ushakov, coordinator of the Gulagu.net project, for five days for refusing to undergo a medical examination. This is reported by "Pravozashchita Otkriti" with reference to the lawyer Nelly Shishova.
The protocol under Article 6.9 of the Code of Administrative Offenses against Ushakov was drawn up on April 1. His consideration was postponed several times.
As Ushakov said , he came to the Investigative Committee at the request of investigator Mayorova to get acquainted with the materials of his client's case. When the human rights activist arrived in the UK, Mayorova stopped answering her calls. FSB officers and police officers detained Ushakov at the building of the department and took him to the Vladimir department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. There, according to him, the operatives said that they would draw up a “seizure” of drugs.
Ushakov told reporters that they wanted to plant drugs on him, after which he was left overnight in a temporary detention center and a protocol was drawn up against him. The reason was the incident in March - then the human rights activist spoke about the attempt on his life. After the incident, the human rights activist called the police, but he was taken for a medical examination, believing that the man was “overexcited”. Ushakov refused to be examined.
The human rights activist believes that the attempt is connected with his work to combat torture in the Vladimir institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service.
