The main action in honor of the Generalissimo took place in the capital and was organized by the Communist Party. The Communists went through the festive procession in the center of Moscow. By analogy with the “Immortal Regiment”, they called their march “Stalinsky Regiment”. The entire leadership of the party, led by Gennady Zyuganov, came to the demonstration.
There were people of all ages on the march, and they used mostly Soviet attributes of the war. In addition to the portraits of Stalin, they carried photos of marshals and Soviet leaders, including Lavrenty Beria. Young people held posters with the image of Stalin and the signature "He is like a father to me." The form of the participants in the action was mainly military, but some manifestants were held in the form of NKVD employees.
For some reason, such outfits were popular this year. Employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Rostov Region also took a photo shoot in the form of the NKVD. Photo illustrations for the project “The descendants of the Heroes” were equipped with the following explanation : “During the filming, each participant was able to plunge into some episodes from the life of Soviet soldiers and feel the atmosphere of the war years.”
The role of Stalin was recalled by the state media. So, the Russia 24 TV channel during the festive celebrations “ renamed” St. Petersburg in Leningrad, Samara in Kuibyshev, and Volgograd in Stalingrad. Last year, the TV channel changed only the name of the city on the Neva.

One of the most high -profile actions of the Stalinists on Victory Day was the opening of a bust Generalissimu in Novosibirsk with the direct support of the city authorities. Negotiations on this subject were stretched for several years. Initially, the local branch of the Communist Party achieved the installation of a bust in the city center, in the place where all the inhabitants can see it. The mayor of the city Communist Anatoly Lokot also supported the idea of installing, but in 2016 the city artistic council abandoned this idea, fearing the negative reaction of the townspeople and acts of vandalism. The bust was nevertheless stuck and was stored with a local activist.
A compromise decision was found this year: the Communists proposed a territory near the Communist Party regional committee as a place for a bust. At the same time, the party took upon itself the material maintenance of the bust, its protection and constant video surveillance.
“Under the leadership of Stalin, the Soviet people defeated the fascist invaders, restored the country after the war. His merits are huge. And by the discovery of this monument, we honor the Generalissimo Great Victory. And we will not let the so -called liberals rewrite our history, ”said the mayor of Novosibirsk
The opening of the monument on May 9 took place with a small accumulation of admirers of the leader. According to local media reports, about 200 people of a predominant older age came. The event was also the head of the city of Lokot. “Under the leadership of Stalin, the Soviet people defeated the fascist invaders, restored the country after the war. His merits are huge. And by the discovery of this monument, we honor the Generalissimo Great Victory. And we will not let the so -called liberals rewrite our history, ”the mayor said.
Even earlier, on May 7, the scandal flared up around a similar situation in Surgut. There, activists of the Right Management organization established a large banner with a photograph of Stalin and gratitude to the leader. Under the portrait was drawn: “Saved the Jews of Europe from the genocide! Poland, Germany, Romania. "
A photograph of the banner was published in the VKontakte group called Stalin's Bust in Surgut. A banner can hang for a long time, because it is attached to the private territory - the construction site.

The Communists demonstrated love for the leader at the official actions of the Immortal Regiment, although their organizers publicly called for the Communist Party to refrain from this.
One of the co -founders of the Immortal Regiment movement Sergei Lapenkov insisted: “Immortal Regiment” is not a political story; This is the story of personal memory, the story of the family, something very specific. If there are attempts to bring a common idea to this, everything immediately begins to blur. The Immortal Regiment is not about the winning party and not about the military leaders of the defeated army. This is about grandfathers and great -grandfathers who participated in the war "
Lapenkov emphasized that it is impossible to prohibit people with portraits of leaders, but said: “The Communists always had their own rallies, which they went with red flags. Now, coming to the processions of the "Immortal Regiment", they begin to crack this story. I would like to say these people: leave the party card at home, just come to a person! ”
Zyuganov on his VKontakte page in response wrote that Stalin was trying to put under the ban and added: “In fact, the red banner with which our grandfathers and great-grandfathers-winners came under the ban.” Zyuganov called the "Immortal Regiment" without Stalin "soulless."
Similar disputes were in the regions, for example, in Omsk. Representatives of the Communist Party proved that it was possible and should be carried to shares and portraits of Stalin. The first secretary of the Omsk regional committee of the Communist Party Alexander Kravets insisted that this procession is impossible without a reminder of the Creator of Victory. “When the Immortal Regiment rose, the question arose - the Immortal Regiment of what? The immortal regiment of the winners in the Great War, ” Kravets states . - And who mobilized people? Great country. What country was there? Soviet. And who led the country - Stalin. " As a result, Stalin's posters in Omsk, along with other marshals, appeared . Moreover, the name of the leader was even in a car from the military era, which drove in the column of participants in the procession.
Fans of the leader also did in many other cities. For example, in Naberezhnye Chelny. There, at the mass procession, the Communists carried Stalin's figure in full growth.
