A hotel may appear at the mouth of the Smolenka River

The authorities of St. Petersburg are negotiating with the investor on the construction of the hotel in the territory, which is now included in the list of green spaces of public. This was reported by Fontanka with reference to the vice-governor of St. Petersburg Eduard Batanov.

The territory can be withdrawn from the list of SNSP for construction, while the investor promises to organize a park on a site where Alla Pugacheva’s songs previously wanted to build the theater.

Deputy Zaks Boris Vishnevsky sent the acting governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov an appeal in which he notes that the transfer of the territory from the SNOP list will be a “manifestation of an extreme disrespect for the huge number of residents of the Western part of the Vasilievsky Island.”

Citizens and city defenders also oppose the construction of the hotel in the mouth of the Smolenka River.
