A protocol of disrespect for authorities was drawn up against a resident of the Vologda region

A resident of the village of Verkhovazhye, Vologda Oblast, Yury Shadrin, was charged with disrespect for the authorities (part 3 of article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) due to the publication on VKontakte of the status “Putin d ****** is not fabulous, but real.” This is written by Pavel Chikov, head of the Agora International Human Rights Group.

Shadrin's friends say that the police are taking revenge on him for organizing a rally against the pension reform. 300 people came to the action and chanted the slogan “Putin is a thief”.

• In March, Vladimir Putin signed a law on disrespect for the authorities. For the first offense under this law, a fine of 30 to 100 thousand rubles is provided.
• At the end of April, a court in Novgorod fined a local resident 30,000 rubles for a post on VKontakte containing a swear word against the President of the Russian Federation, a resident of Yaroslavl was fined the same amount for a photograph of a wall with the inscription "Putin fag".
