The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine announced the expansion of sanctions against Russia, Ukrainian media reported . The government stated that measures are "mirror" in relation to those that Russia previously adopted.
According to the head of the Ministry of Economic Development of Ukraine Stepan Cubiva, restrictions will affect some industrial goods, mineral fertilizers, vehicles and certain types of agricultural products.
Import of goods from these categories will be prohibited. At the same time, in the Ukrainian Cabinet, they clarified that the rest of the Russian goods from August 1 will begin to tax on a special duty. New payment will be applied in addition to existing tariffs.
According to the head of the Ministry of Economic Development of the country, these measures should “prevent capital leakage from Ukraine to the aggressor state”, increase budget revenues, support Ukrainian manufacturers and create new jobs.
