Kurgan FSB reported on searches of Salafist supporters

Employees of the Federal Security Service conducted searches at the homes of Salafist supporters in two cities in the Kurgan region. This was reported by the press service of the department to Interfax.

Searches were carried out in Dalmatov and Shadrinsk. According to the department, they were held in Dalmatov after an "illegal prayer room" was discovered in the city.

During the searches, FSB officers seized a gas pistol, which, in their opinion, they were trying to convert into a combat one, eight cartridges for it and 16 cartridges for smooth-bore weapons. In addition, more than 80 religious materials were seized, 25 of which are included in the list of extremist materials, telephones and four discs with sermons.

According to Znak.com, more than 70 religious materials were confiscated from the homes of Salafist supporters in Shadrinsk, 12 of them were recognized as extremist. In addition, phones, removable media, as well as notebooks and discs with sermons were confiscated from supporters.

In addition, protocols were drawn up against six believers on illegal missionary activities in the mosques of the Shadrinsk and Shatrovsky districts (parts 3, 4 of article 5.26 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The issue of initiating a criminal case on illegal possession of weapons (part 1 of article 222 of the Criminal Code) has not yet been resolved. According to the department, the detainees are foreign citizens and are subject to deportation.

Recall that in April, FSB officers confiscated Salafist literature from Imam Rustem Abilev, who served in the mosque of the Hayat religious organization in Sevastopol. In a media release, he was described as "the leader of a group of radical Islamists." The Hyatt organization was officially registered in Russia in 2015.
