Andrey Filichev leaves the energy sector for the sake of elections in Novosibirsk

Andrei Filichev, who headed the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Energy and Water Supply Management”, withdraws the candidacy from the election of the director of this communal enterprise serving Academgorodok Novosibirsk. He announced administrative pressure and now plans to return to politics.

Filichev headed the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Energy and Water Supply Management” (“UEV”) since 2017 in the status of VROO Director. In 2019, a competition was announced to replace the position, for which, according to Filichev, nine people are already applying for.

“I want to withdraw my candidacy from the competition,” said Filichev Taiga.info on May 17. “It all started with administrative pressure regarding the fact that they do not coordinate the schedule and preparation for the new heating season.”

This schedule must coordinate the city hall of Novosibirsk. Vice-mayor for urban economy Daniyar Safiullin, recall, came to participate in the competition for the post of director of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “WEV”.

Andrei Filichev was twice elected to the Novosibirsk City Council. In 2000, he ran for mayor and was supposed to become the main rival of Vladimir Gorodetsky, but withdrew the candidacy, after which the governor Viktor Tolokonsky appointed Filichev to his deputy.

The politician was born in 1961, graduated from the Novosibirsk State Technical University. In 1990, he headed the Executive Committee of the Kalinin District Council of Novosibirsk, then the district administration. From 1995 to 1998, he was the deputy general director of the Novosibirsk Khimkontentt plant, and later returned to the leadership of the Kalininsky district. In 2000-2010 he was deputy governor Viktor Tolokonsky. He went after him in the envoy, where he worked during his successor Nikolai Rogozhkin.
