Wing, which is owned by the Alphabet holding, will begin delivery of food and food in one of the Helsinki areas in the coming weeks. This was reported in the company's blog .

According to N+1 , the Vuosaari area was chosen for an experiment, since it is surrounded by water from three sides. In the first test of the system that took place last week, the mayor of the Finnish capital, Jan Vapaavoori, took part. After starting the service, users will be able to order ready -made dishes from Herkku supermarkets, as well as food from the Monami restaurant. According to representatives of Wing, the delivery time of orders will be about 10 minutes.

Recall that in early April, Wing launched a similar service in Australia, having received the necessary permission from the country's authorities. At the end of April, the US Federal Civil Aviation Department (FAA) issued a certificate of an aviation carrier. This is the first case of issuing such a document to the company to deliver goods by drones, and in Wing they plan to launch a delivery service in Virginia.
