The reason for the mailing was the situation in Yekaterinburg, where last week there were protests over the construction of a temple instead of a park in the city center.

In a letter with the heading “Bad” stories. What’s wrong with the development of public gardens?” describes the situation in Yekaterinburg and other cities where residents are unhappy with the construction of public gardens, for example in Moscow and Ulyanovsk. The letter ends with three tips for standing up for civil rights. For example, to participate in all voting and public hearings, as well as physically and “within the law” to prevent construction from starting. “ Protests of civil disobedience, resonance in the media and social networks, attraction of show business stars, statements with personal pressure on officials in law enforcement agencies will help,” says the third tip.

The letter contains a link to the CIAN website, which leads to the full version of the article on the protection of public gardens and contains more advice on how to prevent their development. The article was published on May 17 and generally repeats the contents of the letter, but there is no recommendation to protest.
