FSB officers in Astrakhan detained three people on suspicion of organizing an extremist community and involving in its activities (part 1 and 2 of article 282.1 of the Criminal Code). This was reported on the official website of the Investigative Committee.
Among the detainees are two residents of the Astrakhan region and one resident of the Krasnodar Territory. SK does not give their names. At the moment, the issue of choosing a preventive measure is being decided.
The detainees were searches, during which the FSB investigators found explosives, Molotov cocktails, literature with instructions for creating explosives, cartridges, fascist attributes, knives, military equipment and pneumatic weapons.
“According to the investigation, three suspects, sharing extremist ideas, created an organized group on the territory of Astrakhan,” the Investigative Committee reports. “Members of an organized group, adhering to radical nationalist views, guided by the motives of ideological and national hatred and enmity, found and involved other participants in the Astrakhan region and the Krasnodar Territory.”
The department also claims that the suspects studied the rules for owning cold weapons, conducted tactical training using military equipment and small arms layouts. It is also reported about strict discipline and the use of ciphers for conspiracy purposes.
Andrei Highi, senior assistant to the head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Astrakhan Region, told Interfax that three detainees planned to arrange a “political coup”.
