Yury Koretsky, chairman of the Alliance for Animal Defenders, was detained near the building of the State Duma in Moscow. He himself told OVD-Info about this.
At the building of the State Duma, a people's gathering was held against the adoption of a law allowing aviary hunting. The video broadcast shows that the animal rights activist was detained after the end of the gathering. Several police officers approached Koretsky and took him to a car.
Now he was taken to the Tverskaya police department. According to Koretsky, they are going to charge him with violating the rules for participation in the event (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
