In Penza, the coordinator of the Left Front was detained for a children's party. He was soon released

In Penza, on June 1, during a children's holiday organized by the local branch of the Left Front, the regional coordinator of the organization, Viktor Khomts, was detained. This was reported to OVD-Info by the coordinator of the "Left Front" in the Volga region Sergei Padalkin.

According to Padalkin, the Left Front held several events dedicated to Children's Day. The program included performances by artists, gifts, treats and a free trampoline. The reason for the detention of Khomts was the statement of the head of the PenzaZhilServisUyut management company, Natalya Dyatlova. The woman complained to the police that the organizers of the holidays allegedly illegally connected electrical equipment to the network in one of the houses accountable to her.

A protocol was drawn up against Khomts under Article 7.19 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (illegal connection to electricity) and was soon released. Then the police detained the artist who participated in the event, took her to the police department for an explanation.

Law enforcement officers explained this detention by the fact that Dyatlova wrote another statement: allegedly, activists of the Left Front attacked her. They took an explanatory note from the detained artist and also released her.

The activists themselves say that they only filmed Dyatlova on mobile phones and tried to find out what caused her antipathy for the children's holiday of the Left Front. According to them, when they approached Dyatlova, she began to run away from them, hide in the entrance, tried to take away their phones, and then ran around the corner of the house and began to swear.

Activists explain the dissatisfaction with the holidays of the "Left Front" on the part of the police and Dyatlova by the will of the director of the school, on the territory of which the district police station is located, where Khomts was taken. According to the Left Front, on the eve of the elections to the City Duma in September, the activity of the Communists could have provoked such a reaction from the authorities.
