I'm not checked. Not that I want to get infected. I just assume that this has already happened. I know that this is terribly irresponsible, even, perhaps, bad - in relation to others. But I believe that if a person goes to this, then he understands that he can stand.

“Party and Play” or “High and Horney”-this is how sex under substances are called in the gay community. And although the use of narcotic substances in sexual practices is not a new thing, the availability, cheapness and variety of modern drugs, coupled with the growth of the acting application market, formed a completely special world-the world of chemixx.

Its main driving force in Europe is methamphetamine, or, as it is also called, “ice”, “Tina”. The “club” synthetics-Mephedron, or “Meau”, and GHB, gamma-hydroxybutirate-for several years were popular at one time. Orgies for 30 people, home sex weapons, gay saunas-for many, narcotic sex marathons are becoming a familiar way to spend a weekend.

Four years ago, the British Vice released a documentary about the phenomenon of Himsex and the place that he occupies on the London gay scene. About Bare-Back-welfare, on which they do not use condoms. And about the risks that unprotected contacts and intravenous drug use with them: HIV, STD and dependence. After that, European LGBT organization and organizations to reduce drug harm are distinguished by chemosex in a separate direction of their work, and in the West this problem comes out of the shadows-they begin to talk a lot about it in a public field.

The world of Khimsex - in this new, modern sense - could not but appear in Russia. First of all, we are talking about Moscow and St. Petersburg - it is easiest to get drugs here, and you can find sex for one night in a few minutes.

The former chief editor of AIDS Center Lev Smirnov explains: “Himsex for existence needs drugs and Internet dating. And since Hydra and Hornet are best operated in Moscow and St. Petersburg, the center of Khimsex-life is certainly here. But it is in other places: Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Orel, Omsk ... I have a friend from Nizhny Novgorod. He sometimes comes to Moscow and fundamentally does not include Hornet, because he is afraid that he will be dismantled here. But even in his hometown, he also resists with all his might: he tried, he liked it, and then there was an unsuccessful experience, and this scared him. Now he is trying to stay away from drugs, but even in Nizhny Novgorod it is difficult-although the city, in general, is small. ”

The main driving force of Himsex on the Russian drug market today is the synthetic drugs of the Katinonal series, the most famous of which is Mephedron. It was synthesized back in the 20s of the last century, though then they were safely forgotten. In the 2000s, a chemist nicknamed Dr. ZEE was able to create it, exploring Kat - a plant that has psychoactive properties. The effect of Mephedron is described as a cross between MDMA and Cocaine. On the one hand, it acts as a powerful stimulant, on the other, as empatogen: it liberates and removes psychological barriers as much as possible. Mephedron is one of the most popular drugs on Hydra, a Russian -speaking platform in a darknet organizing the sale of narcotic substances. For example, according to the user of Drugstat, exploring the site, at the end of 2018, the volume of Mephedron's proposal in St. Petersburg exceeded the amount of amphetamine.

At the same time, Mephedron is a little studied drug, its effect on the body in the long run is unknown. In 2008, when Mephedron rattled in Europe, in Russia it was still legal and sold like bath salt. After making prohibited substances in 2010, he disappeared from the legal market, but it began to be made shrubly. In 2013, Mephedron began to conquer RAMP (Russian Annonymous Marketplace, at the beginning of the tenth - a large platform for illegal trade in substances) and quickly appeared in sufficient numbers not only in Moscow and St. Petersburg, but also in other Russian cities. The fourth and most massive wave of its popularity is associated with Hydra, a platform that replaced RAMP liquidated by the police in 2017.

Now the audience of Mephedron is growing and getting younger. But there is no exact sociological data about who, how much and how it uses it in modern Russia.

Although many drug users are engaged in chemosex, in the Russian gay community, like the whole world, this practice occupies a special place.

Alexei began to use Mephedron a couple of years ago when he broke up with his loved one and decided to "go all the grave." The breakup became a trigger - he is sure that sooner or later he would have come to drugs anyway.

Alexei calls the parties themselves. He not only participates in them, but also organizes: he buys mephedron in advance - as a rule, not for himself alone. He orders in advance at the “consumables” pharmacy: syringes, grease, miramistin. “I used to treat everyone at my own expense. Sometimes I come home at night, and in the morning messages are still coming - dozens: “Do you sleep? Are you hanging out?”, He says.

The peculiarity of Mephedron is that it is never enough - it constantly causes the desire to “catch up”. Russia is a homophobic country, and if you live in a homophobic environment, Lev notes, this is already a checkmark towards dependence. “If you have complex, unresolved personal problems, such as recently ended relations, unloved work, this is another checkmark. If there are mental diagnoses, for example, a large depressive disorder, is another. Controlled drug use in such conditions is impossible, ”he continues.

Discrimination, violence both in relation to gay-core and inside it, create conditions for the emergence of constant internal stress in which gays live in Russia. This is called “minority stress” - that is, a situation where a person who is aware of himself “different” automatically “falls out” from society and is forced to either hide or risk, showing who he is actually. Very often, this stress leads a person to drugs - they easily and quickly help him cope with the problem, in fact simply masking it.

In Russia, Khimsex as a separate direction recently began to engage in the Andrei Shkolov Foundation, says Lev. Previously, the AIDS Center organized seminars, but the HIV+ people support format turned out to be ineffective on the Himsex material, since this problem is not limited to a high risk of infection, and different people at such a seminar often simply cannot find a common language. Nobody is doing this yet. “Accordingly, the consumers of Mephedron in the heterosexual environment are not known at all - no one is simply engaged in them. Why? They do not apply to the social services, they have no request at all-they do not come to test after the chemistry wizard. They [heterosexuals] rarely arrange mass orgies, after all, this is part of the gay culture, where sexual liberation is the norm, ”the expert notes.

Psychological injuries, deep loneliness (in English literature there is a special term - Gay Loneliness), depression, the inability to establish contact with others - all this becomes part of the impulse, which often leads people to the chemicals. In Khimsex, Alexei has been a couple of years - and he practically does not speak with anyone about his problem. He ceased to keep in touch with old friends, and new connections do not last for a long time. Alexei lives with a neighbor, but does not allow himself to bring someone when he is at home. “Naturally, he sees my hands - I can’t hide it and walk at home in clothes with long sleeves all the time. But this is, as they say, Don 'Ask, Donmet Tell. We are not talking about it at all. ” Aleksey really close contact, by his own admission, is only with a couple of a person - one of them also practices Himsex.

“This person knows about the problem, but not about its scale. He writes to me, asks how you are. I answer him: “It's still not very”. Then he says that he would be very painful if I went out of the window. He asks if I need some help. And I answer: “No, not needed.”

“Do not ask questions and do not crack” - the main rule of “Games”. Everyone who practices Himsex is well aware of the HIV epidemic in the country, says Alexei. Everyone understands risks and consequences, but with this problem everyone is left alone.

Бывший шеф-редактор СПИД-Центра Лев Смирнов отмечает, что есть три типичных запроса, с которыми человек, практикующий химсекс, может дойти до помогающей организации. И третий запрос — отказаться от наркотиков навсегда. Как помогать в этих случаях? Гуманный подход в социальной работе, рассказывает Лев, — давать только ту помощь, за которой пришли. «Ни в коем случае не навязывать. Поскольку сообщество абсолютно закрытое, помочь можно совершенно конкретному человеку — тому, которого ты видишь перед собой, с которым идёт коммуникация. С ВИЧ в России ситуация была очень плохой всегда, отмечает Лев. По статистике Роспотребнадзора видно, как в 1998–1999 году эпидемия «переворачивается». Если раньше речь шла о наркопотребителях и геях, то сейчас ВИЧ с огромной скоростью распространяется именно через гетеросексуальные контакты. Эпидемия ВИЧ в современной России — это жёны, верящие в то, что их мужья ни с кем больше не занимаются сексом и что верность, как написано на плакатах, защитит их от ВИЧ. Это 52,8 % новых случаев. Меньше одного процента — геи, так как тех, кто остался с «минусом», уже мало. Тридцать восемь процентов новых случаев заражения составляют инъекционные пути передачи у наркопотребителей. В первую очередь — это регионы, где всё совсем плохо с работой и идёт стабильная героиновая наркотизация населения, где одно поколение наркопотребителей сменяется другим.

С точки зрения эксперта, говорить, что химсекс — это ключ эпидемии ВИЧ, нельзя. Это её акселератор в отдельных закрытых сообществах и в первую очередь социокультурный феномен, подчёркивает Лев. Явление, которое началось в гей-сообществе, но им не ограниченное. «Ни один гомосексуальный мужчина не позволит себе иметь секса меньше, чем гетеросексуальный мужчина, — это особенности работы психики в попытке компенсировать стресс меньшинства. Поэтому секс-вечеринки и секс-сауны — всё это гораздо чаще встречается в гей-среде. В гей-сообществе люди, которые не ходят на вечеринки, скорее исключение, чем правило. Гей-культура сексоцентрична, её главная идея — сексуальная свобода. И из-за этого происходит такой буйный рост феномена химсекса», — отмечает Лев.

Это, с его точки зрения, не значит, что этот феномен не распространён в гетеросообществе. В ближайшее время — с либерализацией сексуальности — он будет развиваться и там. «Через десять лет все будут заниматься сексом налево и направо, а сексуального воспитания и культуры потребления наркотиков — как её не было никогда, так и не будет. Никто и не пытается её создать. Эта культура есть в Голландии, например. И там передача ВИЧ инъекционным путём была остановлена ещё в 2003 году — ни одного нового случая за последние 15 лет. Опять-таки потому, что есть культура наркопотребления и налаженные механизмы снижения вреда.

«Про гетеросообщество в России мы вообще ничего не знаем, кроме того, что сексом до брака тут никто официально не занимается. А ВИЧ все подхватили в кабинете стоматолога. А ведь это действительно те идеи, с которыми люди приходят в СПИД-Центр. А как с ними работать, если они в жизни не признаются, что занимаются сексом? Социальная работа возможна, когда к ней есть запрос. Это главное правило гуманной социальной помощи. Никакого запроса у гетеросообщества пока нет. И очаговых вспышек эпидемии нет. Мы можем говорить об очаговой эпидемии ВИЧ в сообществе секс-работников. Можем говорить об очаговой эпидемии ВИЧ среди геев. Об очаговой эпидемии среди геев, практикующих химсекс, — и мы отдельно работаем с ней. В случае с гетеросообществом основной способ работы — сексуальное воспитание и напоминание о способах профилактики. Плюс повальное тестирование и раннее начало терапии» , — продолжает эксперт.

Главный принцип борьбы с ВИЧ — довести как можно большее количество людей до неопределяемой вирусной нагрузки. Тогда эпидемия остановится, потому что никто не сможет никого заразить. «Тут всё очень просто: нужно всех выявить, всех начать лечить и довести до неопределяемой вирусной нагрузки. Именно такую цель ВОЗ поставила к 2020 году — принцип „90–90–90“. То есть 90 % людей, имеющих положительный ВИЧ-статус, знают о своём статусе, 90 % из них получают терапию, и 90 % из тех, кто получает терапию, имеют неопределяемую вирусную нагрузку. Эксперт СПИД-Центра считает, что в ближайшее время Россию, как сейчас — Европу, накроет волна популярности метамфетамина. Первая причина — из-за высокого спроса мефедрон становится всё дороже, по стоимости приближаясь к кокаину. «Однако дело не только в этом. В 90-е в России была серьёзная винтовая эпидемия, люди буквально вымирали от отравлений кустарно приготовленными препаратами из эфедрина. И это всё оставило большой стигматизированный след на метамфетамине, который ещё тянется шлейфом и очень многих пугает. Сейчас, потихоньку распробовав европейскую „тину“, народ начинает переходить на неё и здесь. Я уже вижу эту тенденцию в Москве — за последний год она довольно ярко прослеживается. И этот рынок будет расти — лет через пять метамфетамин загремит» , — считает Лев.

Несмотря на то, что метамфетамин всегда был популярен и в Европе, и в Америке, о химсексе как явлении заговорили именно с приходом солей — в том числе и мефедрона. В среде употребителей бытует мнение, что качество вещества в Европе выше, чем в России, к тому же на российском рынке всё большую популярность приобретают более дешёвые, но более жёсткие соли: пировалероны, МДПВ и альфа-ПВП. У них сильнее эффект при меньших дозировках, но и побочные эффекты гораздо страшнее.

Цена мефедрона растёт, чистого кристаллического мефедрона на российском рынке становится всё меньше, и продавцы всё чаще начинают его смешивать с альфа-ПВП. «Когда денег на мефедрон нет, зависимый начинает посматривать в сторону альфы и прочего. Поэтому за мефедроновой волной параллельно идёт волна солей, и она самая пугающая» , — отмечает эксперт.
