Wable day on Shies is always a test. The bulk of the activists left the day before, about 20 people remained in the camp. Despite the fact that, according to the official version of the authorities, the construction is stopped - the site for the garbage burial ground is growing before our eyes.

I rise to a high mountain from gravel. On the right hand, excavators led the sand that unload kamazy. On the left - a fence is being built that protects the territory of Technopark from the railway tracks. Volunteer Alexander Larionov from Arkhangelsk, together with the teacher of history, Vladimir Goncharov, went to the place of unloading of the sand to demand documents allowing the construction of the training ground.

Today, the construction is guarded not only by Chopovtsy, but also by the police. Volunteers rewrote the numbers of equipment. Alexander, the builder in the specialty, suggested that the workers are building an additional branch in a small distance from the main platform of the station, so that it is more convenient and without violations to unload. And immediately stood in a picket with a poster: “Orlov and Putin! Forbid the construction of a burial ground in Shies or resign. ”

“Those in power in our country are divided into two types - resolves and six. Both those and others should understand the whole responsibility of their decisions, actions. The trash in the north is the death of our whole country, it is a humiliation of ordinary citizens. The lawlessness that is happening here is lawlessness - these are their main weapon. But by law we are right, and we will win, ”says Alexander.

Anti -fascist Michael came here from the Great Ustyug to fight the garbage mafia: “Here is a dictatorship of large capital. People are against the landfill, their opinion is not taken into account. With democracy, there would be a referendum, and this is real fascism. ”

Anti -humor battles attract completely different people who unite one thing - they are not indifferent to someone else's problem. So Archpriest Evgeny Sokolov came here to support people.

“I am very embarrassed that attention is so focused on me. In all articles I already wrote that I support the protesters, and the authorities do not justify the trust of people, ”he said.

One of the symbols of faith in his victory with Eco -activists were banners on the sandy mountain, it was them that unexpectedly raided the builders of the landfill. Fighters for clean air immediately went to demand to return the flags. The skirmish began, which could develop into a serious clash with security, but the police intervened. An anonymous major returned the flags. The joy of activists had no bounds. Volunteer Nikita Baryshnikov solemnly hoisted them to another mountain.

Activist Nina Shcherbakova decided not to stop at a small victory with banners, went to the excavator that she loaded sand, and demanded to stop working or show permits.

Instead of documents, Igor Popov, the chief of security, arose in front of Nina. Apparently, he decided to recall his youth, and show on a personal example how an ordinary employee of Chop should act. He pushed Shcherbakov from equipment right into the hands of the police.

At 14 o’clock, new eco-volunteers arrived by train. Now the camp was not 20, but 200 people! In Syktyvkar, a mass rally was held against the construction of the training ground, according to various estimates there were from 3 to 5 thousand people - and many decided to go to Shies. Among them was Igor Talkov Jr., who had already lit the hearts of protesters at the rally, and now he was going to sing for “eco-party”.

The volunteers were glad to see the Snow White - Anna Shekalova among the arrivals. She returned from the Kotlas Hospital, where she was treated after riot police detention.

“At first they kept me in the department, and then they decided to take me to Kotlas, although I live in Urdom. My pressure jumped up, ”said Shekalova. From Shies to Kotlas, go by train for three hours. The activist asked her to give her medicine, but the police ignored requests. The conductor could not stand it, and he herself called an ambulance to the activist. Doctors recorded a sharp increase in pressure and took the activist to the hospital. Despite the risk and poor health of Shekalova returned to operation.

Fresh volunteers scatter tents, someone is already frying barbecue, sing songs under the accordion. A bright, festive mood unexpectedly violates riot police. About 30 masked fighters, with batons, broke into the camp. The detentions began, Vasily Poroshin took, supposedly for an obstacle to the work of equipment on May 22.

In the evening, Igor Talkov Jr. was held at the ShiES station in support of the protesters. He sang that he would return "to the country not fools, but geniuses."

But poetry and music did not affect the plans of the builders of the garbage training ground. Already on the morning of June 4, riot police began to install a fence in the station. The acting head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Lensky District of the Arkhangelsk Region Osherov showed volunteers an agreement allegedly allowing construction. Volunteer Svetlana Babenko called the contract insignificant: “Mr. Osherov deceives eco-vultures and his actions are illegal. They have no right to put a fence. ” According to the documents that ecologists have, the territory that riot police are trying to fenge - the forest. So, the passage into it should be free for everyone.

Volunteers stood up against riot police. The crush and crush began. The confrontation lasted about an hour, as a result, nine activists were detained. OMON won. The fence was finally installed. True, the employees of Technopark promised that there would be a “possibility of free passage”. But they are not used to believing their words on Shies.

It was very offensive right now to leave Shies. The Bayanist Alexei, a volunteer, whose songs were loved by the protesting and even involuntary defenders of the landfill, rode with me on the train. Bayan did not fall silent to Kotlas himself, one passenger even set off on a dance. The conductor treated tea and asked how the struggle with the landfill was going.

Music, the knock of wheels, Russian villages outside the window, and I, together with everyone, sang: "Shies is our sadness, for the taiga in my heart pain." Here it is, real patriotism - the struggle of people for their land against a terrible, multi -kilometer landfill.
